This role is ideal for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse who is passionate about aged care and thrives in a leadership position supporting both residents and staff.
Located in Wallington, and close to the picturesque Bellarine Peninsula, and offering captivating views of the surrounding countryside, TLC Healthcare Wallington boasts a recently renovated residential aged care home – TLC Aged Care Homestead Estate – for residents wanting an elevated standard of care, and a co-located medical centre.
About the Role
As aRegistered Nurse , you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day clinical management of our residential home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care while providing leadership, guidance and support to care teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care
- Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and support to nursing and care staff
- Coordinating assessments, care planning and documentation
- Building positive relationships with residents, families,
GPs and allied health professionals
- Monitoring and supporting clinical outcomes and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Managing incidents, complaints and after-hours operational issues when required
- Ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC requirements and organisational policies
- Promoting a positive, inclusive and collaborative team culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Essential
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated experience working within residential aged care
- Robust clinical assessment and care planning skills
- Sound understanding of AN-ACC, infection prevention and control, and aged care legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to lead, mentor and supervise multidisciplinary care teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Computer literacy and experience with clinical documentation systems
- Commitment to resident-centred care and continuous improvement
What You’ll Need
- Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards
- Current AHPRA registration
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses)
- 2026 Influenza vaccination
- NDIS Check (including Police Clearance)
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
- Excellent time management and communication skills
