As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Operations Assistant to join our team and contribute to the overall success of our company.
The Role:
The Senior Operations Assistant is an integral part of our head office team and will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the business. This position is the right-hand to the National Operations Manager and involves a diverse range of responsibilities that change and evolve through the agricultural seasons. The Senior Operations Assistant will work collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to ensure effective distribution of inventory across all business units. This role would best suit a motivated and engaged person who is looking for long term career growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Manage chemical inventory for business units across 5 states - including purchase orders, scheduling deliveries, weekly stocktakes and monthly reconciliations
- Support Team Leaders of each business unit with correct inventory volume and location
- Procure parts as required and manage stock levels for workshop/maintenance business units
- Data entry into seasonal spreadsheets to ensure efficient information flow
2. Scheduling Assistance
- Assist National Operations Manager with scheduling tasks as required
- Process daily job sheets
- Other admin tasks as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role, with demonstrated familiarity with logistical scheduling
- Intermediate to Advanced experience in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Proficiency in account software (Xero) desirable though not essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, inform, educate and support suppliers, customers, staff and managers alike
- Broad and flexible interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and geographically dispersed environment
- Familiarity with the agricultural industry or related sectors is desirable but not essential
Candidate Requisites:
- Currently living in Western Australia with a pre-existing right to work
- Availability to work exclusively on-site
