Located in Murarrie, this role supports restoration projects across Brisbane and surrounding areas. You will visit homes and businesses affected by water, fire, mould and other forms of property damage to assess the damage, carry out practical mitigation and restoration work, and set up and monitor specialist equipment. You will also maintain clear communication with customers to ensure they feel supported and informed at every stage of the restoration journey.
Reporting to the Delivery Manager, this primarily field-based role combines practical site work with equipment management, site safety and accurate job documentation. It would suit an experienced Restoration Technician or someone from a construction, property maintenance, facilities services, specialist cleaning or emergency response background who is interested in developing a meaningful career within the insurance building and restoration industry.
Previous restoration experience is highly regarded. Training and industry courses will be tailored to your existing knowledge, with support from experienced leaders and opportunities to strengthen your capability in water damage restoration, structural drying, fire and smoke restoration, mould remediation and specialist cleaning.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend homes and businesses to assess damage and determine the required restoration response
- Complete water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke restoration, mould remediation, specialist cleaning and other mitigation works
- Install, monitor and remove specialist drying and restoration equipment
- Maintain clear communication with customers, insurers and internal project teams
- Complete site photographs, assessments, damage schedules, authority forms,
timesheets and other required documentation
- Identify site hazards, complete risk assessments and follow all Work Health and Safety requirements
- Record equipment and consumables accurately, identify additional damage and escalation changes to the scope of works
- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition

Could This Be You?
We are looking for a reliable individual who enjoys practical work, communicates clearly and takes pride in providing a high standard of service. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in restoration, remediation or specialist cleaning is highly regarded
- Alternatively, experience in construction, property maintenance, facilities services or emergency response would provide a strong foundation
- Availability to participate in a shared, rotating after-hours and weekend on-call roster
- A White Card, Blue Card and IICRC Water Restoration Technician certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A practical approach, sound judgement and the ability to work safely
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with confidence using Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn industry-specific systems
