PROJECT MANAGER - CLASS 2 HIGH-RISE RESIDENTIAL

$220K - $280K + Super | Depending on experience

About the Opportunity

An established and highly regarded construction company is seeking an exceptional Project Manager to join its Melbourne team. This is a senior-level opportunity to take full ownership of the delivery of major Class 2 high-rise residential apartment projects in Melbourne. The Role

You will take end-to-end responsibility for project delivery, leading the project team from pre-construction and procurement through to construction, practical completion and handover.

You will work closely with senior leadership while managing clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the delivery of major Class 2 high-rise residential apartment projects.
- Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
- Take ownership of project, budget, cost control and financial performance.
- Lead procurement and manage major subcontractor packages.
- Administer contracts, variations, EOTs, claims and commercial matters.




- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage design development, RFIs, technical issues and design changes.
- Monitor project delivery, quality, safety and project milestones.
- Identify and proactively manage project risks.
- Lead project meetings and provide clear reporting to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with NCC, Australian Standards and Victorian construction requirements.
- Drive strong WHS and quality outcomes.
- Lead a group of Project Engineers, Contract Administrators, Site Managers and the wider project team.
- Manage commissioning, defects, practical completion and final handover.

About You

We are looking for a proven construction professional with:

- A solid track record managing complex and high-value projects.
- Excellent commercial and financial management skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and subcontractor management.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction methodology and buildability.
- Strong knowledge of NCC and Victorian construction requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
