Help deliver technical services to support simulation and clinical teaching environments, maintain compliance with safety standards and foster a collaborative team culture. Enable high‑quality simulation learning in the Horizon Hospital and Health Service by creating realistic props, setting up clinical skills labs and operating audiovisual recording systems.

The team





This role forms part of Specialist Facilities and Technical Services team within the College of Health Function and is aligned to the Provost Portfolio within the University.

Experience

- Experience providing technical support in simulation or clinical teaching environments
- Experience creating and maintaining simulated medical props and moulage
- Experience operating and maintaining biomedical and audiovisual equipment
- Experience following laboratory health and safety procedures
- Experience maintaining consumables and inventory
- Experience working collaboratively within a team

This position is a flexible ordinary hours appointment, which requires ordinary hours to be worked on a rostered shift arrangement that includes performing work both within and outside the span of ordinary hours as specified in the University of South Australia Enterprise Agreement 2023 and its successor enterprise agreements. A flexibility loading will be paid at the appropriate rate for every hour worked outside of the span of ordinary hours as specified in the Enterprise Agreement.
