In parallel, the Company is progressing its Pioneer Dome Lithium Project in WA towards production.
The second part of Develop's business focuses on the delivery of underground mining services. Develop currently has agreements in place to provide underground mining services to:
- OceanaGold's (TSX: OGC) Waihi North Gold Project; and
- Core Lithium's (ASX: CXO) Finniss Lithium Operation.

About the role:
DEVELOP is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer for their Pioneer Dome Lithium Project located approximately 130km south of Kalgoorlie.
Reporting to the Quarry / Underground Manager, this role will see you producing detailed short term mine plans and schedules in line with the 3MS to ensure operational and budget compliance.
It will also act as an Alternate Quarry / Underground Manager when the Quarry / Underground Manager is offsite, assuming responsibility for underground operations, contractor performance and statutory compliance.
Pioneer dome is an open pit mine which will be commencing an underground in parallel to the pit within the next 3 months.
This position will be offered on an 8:6 roster FIFO of Kalgoorlie.
Your main responsibilities (however not limited to):
- Lead and mentor junior Engineers within the mining technical team across both underground and open pit functions.
- Deliver 7/21 rolling mine schedules in line with operational 3MS targets for underground mining activities.
- Prepare, review and issue production-focused mine plans, including drill and blast designs, mine instructions, development and stoping plans, as well as Open Pit plans and schedules produced by contract mining engineers.
- Optimise underground stoping and development designs and practices, sequencing and practices to support secure and efficient production.
- Assist Management in guiding the technical functions across mining engineering, geotechnical and mine geology disciplines to enable the delivery of plans, results and targets for both underground and open pit mining operations and associated mining contractors.
- Provide technical support and engineering guidance to operational teams to ensure mine plans are practical, achievable and aligned with short- and medium-term production targets.
- Coordinate and maintain alignment between underground and open pit mine plans, schedules and priorities
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors involved in surface and underground infrastructure works, ensuring activities are appropriately planned, scheduled and safely executed in accordance with operational requirements, project priorities, site standards.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, progress and compliance and coordinate with relevant site departments to ensure infrastructure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with schedule.
- Operate in accordance with the Company?s related Policies and Standards and comply with all site safety policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
About you:
- Minimum of 7 years experience within the mining industry,
with a preference for candidates whose experience has predominantly been within underground mining operations.
- Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- Must hold a First Class Mine Managers Ticket or as a minimum an Unrestricted Quarry Managers certificate with the ability to obtain a FCMM withing 3-6 Months of commencement.
- Ventilation officer Ticket (desirable)
- Experience with Deswik CAD, UGDB and IS. Ventsim experience (desirable).
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of short- to medium-term mine planning requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing operational requirements, priorities and deadlines.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across technical, operational and contractor teams.
- Possess, or be able to obtain, a Dangerous Goods Security Card.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate or equivalent (desirable).
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA), Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 (WA), and other applicable mining legislation and statutory requirements.
