About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Mount Gravatt operations and drive strategic business growth. This is a full-time position based in Mount Gravatt, QLD 4122, and offers the opportunity to take on a pivotal leadership role within a well-established manufacturing company. As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, from production and quality control to finance, sales and human resources.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, profitability and market competitiveness.

Oversee all operational functions including production scheduling, quality assurance, inventory management and logistics.

Manage financial performance, budgeting and cost control to ensure targets are met and waste is minimised.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards and environmental requirements.





Build and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers and business partners to support revenue growth.

Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and maintain market position.

What we're looking for

Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior management or general management role, preferably within manufacturing or a related industrial sector.

Proven track record of successfully managing P&L;, with strong financial acumen and commercial awareness.

Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe working environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.

Knowledge of the steel industry or similar manufacturing environments would be advantageous.

Experience and ability to read and understand building plans, drawings and terms will be required.
