Senior Manager, Business Optimisation and AI Enablement
The Senior Manager, Business Optimisation and AI supports the delivery of Team Super’s optimisation and change agenda by leading business improvement initiatives that enhance organisational efficiency, governance, and member outcomes. Reporting to the Head of Business Optimisation and AI Enablement, the role combines business optimisation, project delivery, stakeholder engagement and AI enablement capabilities to identify opportunities, design practical solutions, and drive implementation. The role is responsible for leading initiatives and workstreams end-to-end, partnering with stakeholders across the Group to simplify processes, embed continuous improvement practices, and support the adoption of artificial intelligence and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Business and Process Optimisation
Lead, undertake and deliver process mapping and requirements analysis to document and identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, automate and improve business performance;
Work with the Head of Business Optimisation and AI Enablement in supporting the identification, prioritisation and delivery of optimisation opportunities which are aligned to Team Super's strategic objectives and member outcomes;
Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to diagnose operational challenges, develop practical solutions and support adoption of new ways of working;
Lead smaller change initiatives or workstreams end-to-end, ensuring deliverables, timelines, risks and dependencies are actively managed and benefits realisation is achieved;
Facilitate workshops, working groups and stakeholder forums to progress the process optimisation and change management lifecycle, and drive consensus, decision making and delivery outcomes; and
Develop and maintain business cases, initiative proposals, project plans, schedules, RAID logs and status reports.
AI Enablement
Work with the Head of Business Optimisation and AI Enablement in supporting the implementation of Team Super's AI Enablement roadmap through the identification, assessment and delivery of practical AI and automation opportunities;
Partner with business, technology, data and risk teams to gather requirements, assess opportunities and coordinate AI-enabled initiatives;
Promote the responsible adoption of AI by supporting governance, risk management, change management and compliance requirements;
Utilise data, insights and performance metrics to identify and propose improvement opportunities, support business decision-making and measure initiative outcomes; and
Assist in developing AI literacy and capability across the organisation through training, communications, engagement activities and sharing best practice.
General
Support the Head of Business Optimisation and AI Enablement on portfolio-level reporting, planning, prioritisation, and establishing financial and other controls;
Prepare timely, high-quality and decision-ready materials for executive forums, working groups, steering committees and other forums;
Manage governance cadences, including agenda, minutes, actions and decision logs, ensuring decisions, actions and risks are appropriately documented and tracked;
Build and maintain effective relationships across Team Super, influencing stakeholders and fostering collaboration to achieve delivery outcomes;
Provide regular reporting on initiative progress, risks, dependencies, issues and perks realisation;
Contribute to embedding continuous improvement practices, including process documentation, performance measures, governance standards and lessons learned; and
Undertake other duties reasonably required by the Head of Business Optimisation and AI Enablement,
consistent with the scope and seniority of the role.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate qualifications in strategy or business related discipline (mandatory).
Relevant qualifications or certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Business Analysis, Change Management, Agile, Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) or equivalent (desirable).
AI, data analytics or automation-related certifications or practical experience (desirable).
Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated experience of seven to ten years or more in business optimisation, transformation, management consulting, strategy execution, process improvement or related discipline;
Demonstrated experience delivering business improvement, operational transformation, process optimisation or change initiatives within financial services, superannuation or other highly regulated environments;
Solid experience in process analysis, process redesign, business requirements definition and continuous improvement methodologies, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into practical solutions;
Experience supporting or delivering AI, automation, digital enablement or data-driven improvement initiatives, including identifying opportunities, assessing business value and supporting organisational adoption;
Strong facilitation skills, with proven experience designing and running workshops and stakeholder sessions;
Exceptional written and verbal communication, with proven ability to produce decision-ready materials for executive audiences;
Proven problem-solving, pragmatic and “can-do” mind-set;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across all levels;
Solid organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and ambiguity to time, scope and budget; and
Sound working knowledge of risk, compliance and governance practices in regulated environments.
