The Opportunity
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead and mentor a multi-skilled maintenance team supporting a significant mobile mining fleet. You will focus on safety, fleet availability, equipment reliability, cost control and continuous improvement.
This is a permanent, full-time position working FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 and 7/7 roster.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead, manage and mentor maintenance personnel
- Coordinate planned and unplanned mobile plant maintenance
- Maximise fleet availability and minimise equipment downtime
- Continually improve maintenance activities, practices and procedures
- Implement maintenance standards and industry best practice
- Monitor maintenance performance, costs and priorities
- Prepare accurate reports for project management
- Maintain high safety, compliance and workmanship standards
- Work collaboratively with operations and project leadership
What you will bring
- An Australian-recognised trade certificate
- Extensive senior maintenance experience within mining, FIFO or heavy civil operations
- Familiarity with Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi earthmoving equipment
- Strong financial and commercial understanding
- Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A safety-focused and improvement-oriented approach
About the Karara Project
Karara is the largest mining operation and the first major magnetite mine in Western Australia’s Mid West. The operation produces premium, high-grade magnetite concentrate and has an expected mine life of more than 30 years.
NRW’s work at Karara includes drill and blast, load and haul, ROM rehandling, stockpile management, train loading and other mining services.
