About the role

n

Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking Registered Nurses to join our Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and Cardiothoracic team in a part time (36 hours per week), maximum-term contract (up to 12 months).

n

Mater has recently finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope's Gold Coast Private Hospital, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate healthcare to Queensland communities.

n

Based at our Gold Coast Campus in Southport, you will be part of our state-of-the-art 339-bed facility, established in 2016. Our hospital delivers a comprehensive range of services across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology.

- Delivery of exceptional patient care, demonstrating a level of skill in clinical decision making and hands‐on caregiving for a range of acute cardiac, vascular and medical conditions (including post intervention)
n
- Deliver appropriate and accurate application of clinical assessment procedures to evaluate medical health status to identify and apply timely care intervention for best patient outcomes
n
- Providing leadership and support to the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
n
- Promoting evidence‐based practice and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
n
- Ensuring quality and risk management principles are integrated into daily clinical practice.
n
- Working collaboratively with nursing, medical and allied health teams to provide exceptional care every time.
n




- Maintaining and developing professional knowledge and clinical competencies through ongoing learning and development.

About you

n

n
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.
n
- Considerable demonstrated experience in adult cardiology
n
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast‐paced and dynamic healthcare setting.
n
- Strong clinical assessment, problem‐solving and decision‐making skills.
n
- Commitment to delivering patient‐centred care and achieving positive clinical outcomes.
n
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and commitment to role modelling Mater's values.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
n
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care, safety and service delivery.
n
- Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster including mornings, afternoons and night shifts.
