Your new role
Based out of a Port Melbourne depot, you'll be working across a major municipal parks and gardens contract, assisting in the maintenance and presentation of streetscapes, parks, reserves and public open spaces.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Garden and landscape maintenance
- Planting, pruning, mulching and weed control
- Turf and garden bed maintenance
- Operating horticultural plant and equipment
- General parks and open space upkeep
- Working safely as part of a dedicated outdoor crew
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Proven horticultural,
parks and gardens or landscaping experience
- A Certificate III in Horticulture (highly regarded)
- Strong plant identification and maintenance knowledge
- Experience using horticultural equipment and tools
- A current driver's licence
- Happy to obtain a Police Check
- A strong work ethic and commitment to quality outcomes
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Candidates with extensive industry experience will be highly regarded, even if they do not hold formal horticultural qualifications.
