Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian | Central Coast, NSW
n
Opportunity for full-time Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian to join our established and passionate SASH team!
n
SASH Central Coast is a full-service specialist and 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital, offering multiple specialist departments and state-of-the-art facilities including on-site CT, MRI and advanced surgical suites.
n
Our ECC team are a collaborative, well-resourced service where high-acuity medicine is practised with structure, teamwork and specialist support.
n
We are seeking a full time Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Veterinarian to join our established and highly stable ECC team, as one of our wonderful vets is leaving to travel the world.
n
This is not a survive-the-night environment. It is a collaborative, well-resourced ECC service where high-acuity medicine is practised with structure, teamwork and genuine specialist support. ECC experience is desirable but not essential, with generous shadowing and induction into the role.

You will be supported by:

- Highly experienced ECC colleagues
n
- Criticalists Dr Lisa Smart and Dr Sophia Morse
n
- Full on-site specialist backup across medicine, surgery, oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology, anaesthesia and more
n
- Access to the wider SASH network including exotics, neurology and neurosurgery
n
- A newly renovated hospital with CT and MRI
n
n
Our department has extremely low turnover. We roster fairly and thoughtfully, balancing the needs of individuals and the wider team. Public holidays and weekends are shared equitably and with consideration.
n
Recovery time is protected. Remuneration is very generous and reflects the demands of ECC, including shift loading, paid overtime and paid breaks.
n We also ensure good food and snacks are always available, because long shifts deserve proper fuel.

Who are we looking for:

- Experience handling varied emergency caseload; or someone keen to expand on their GP skills in ECC
n
- A clinician who thrives in a team environment and values open communication and partnership.
n
- A veterinarian who wants to deliver high‐quality medicine within a supportive, respectful and healthy workplace culture
n
