We are seeking aLead Microservices & AI Technical Architectto provide senior technical leadership across a major technology transformation program.

n

This is a strategic architecture role focused on establishing enterprise-scalemicroservices and event-driven architecture foundations, modernising cloud-native platforms, and embedding AI-enabled engineering practicesacross the software delivery lifecycle.

You will influence architecture and engineering decisions, establish modern technology and delivery standards, and help build the technical capability required to deliver secure, scalable, resilient and high-performing digital platforms.

What You'll Do

n

n
- Provide technical leadership and architectural authority across cloud-native, microservices, event-driven and AI-enabled platforms.
n
- Define and govern architecture patterns, engineering standards and technology practices.
n
- Lead the adoption of AI-enabled software development and delivery practices, including responsible AI and AI-assisted SDLC approaches.
n
- Establish and uplift DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, platform engineering and operational excellence practices.
n
- Drive technology modernisation, including microservices adoption, containerisation, enterprise integration and reusable platform patterns.
n




- Influence architecture and engineering decisions across complex technology transformation initiatives.
n
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into practical, scalable technology solutions.
n
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, delivery partners and senior stakeholders.
n
- Provide technical mentoring, coaching and knowledge transfer to uplift engineering capability and maturity.
n
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation and engineering excellence across distributed teams.
n
- Help establish and evolve enterprise microservices and event-driven architecture capabilities.

What You'll Bring

n

n
- Extensive experience designing, implementing and governing cloud-native, microservices and event-driven architectures within complex enterprise environments.
n
- Strong expertise in AI engineering and AI-enabled solution delivery, including enterprise AI capabilities, semantic search, machine learning and responsible AI practices.
n
- Strong software and platform engineering capability across modern development frameworks, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and security by design.
n
- Proven experience leading enterprise technology modernisation and transformation initiatives,



influencing architecture decisions and delivering measurable improvements.
n
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills, with experience working across senior executives, technical teams, delivery partners and multidisciplinary teams.
n
- Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, EKS or GKE, including platform automation, governance and workload management.
n
- Experience across cloud modernisation, SRE, platform engineering, observability and enterprise-scale automation.
n
- Experience leading Agile delivery teams, including geographically distributed teams, with a focus on coaching and capability uplift.
n
- Strong understanding of security, scalability, reliability and operational excellence in enterprise technology environments.
