Metso are currently seeking an organised, reliable and experienced Finance and Office Administrator to join our team at Warabrook. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organised and providing practical support in a busy business environment.

You'll be responsible for a combination of bookkeeping, accounts and general administration, helping to keep the day-to-day financial and administrative functions of the business running smoothly.

About the Role
n
You will be responsible for a combination of bookkeeping, accounts and general office administration duties, helping ensure the day-to-day financial and administrative functions of the business run smoothly.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n
Finance Administration
n
n
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
n
- Processing and coding transactions
n
- Raising and processing invoices
n
- Following up outstanding accounts
n
- Maintaining accurate financial records
n
- Data entry and record keeping
n
- Managing emails and general correspondence
n
- Maintaining electronic and manual filing systems and business records
n
- Assisting with supplier and customer enquiries
n
n
Payroll Administration
n
n
- Monitor employee timesheet submission and follow up outstanding or inaccurate timesheets.
n
- Assist with payroll administration activities by ensuring timesheet accuracy and completeness prior to processing.
n
- Upload and review timesheets into the company pay system, review and submit for approval/processing.
n
n
Office & Facilities Management
n
n
- Process approved employee travel requests and coordinate travel arrangements.
n
- Manage office supplies, stationery and purchasing requirements to maintain business operations.
n
- Coordinate office facilities and maintenance services,
including cleaners, waste management and building service providers.
n
- Monitor and action enquiries received through shared company email accounts.
n
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
n
- Manage uniform orders for new starters
n
n
Systems & Administration Support
n
n
- Maintain accurate information across business systems and administrative databases.
n
- Support continuous improvement of administrative processes and office systems.
n
- Provide general administrative support to operational and leadership teams as required.
n
n
About You
n
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organised and takes pride in producing accurate work.
n
The successful applicant will ideally have:
n
n
- Previous bookkeeping, accounts or administration experience
n
- Experience with Xero accounting software
n
- Experience with ERP systems an advantage
n
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable
n
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
n
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
n
- Good written and verbal communication skills
n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- A high level of discretion when handling confidential information
n
- A proactive attitude and willingness to assist wherever required
n
- Knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation, GST and general bookkeeping requirements is required for this role.
