Your current role

n

We're seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Trades Assistant to join a busy Mackay workshop. Working in a sheltered environment, you'll play a key role in the refurbishment, maintenance and preparation of transportable buildings. This position is ideal for someone with a construction, carpentry, trade assistant or building maintenance background who enjoys hands‐on work and takes pride in delivering quality results.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting tradespeople with repairs, maintenance and refurbishments
n
- Re-sheeting walls, repairing door frames and completing general building works
n
- Operating hand and power tools
n
- Cleaning, pressure washing and preparing buildings for delivery
n
- General workshop and yard duties
n




- Forklift operation (if licensed)
n
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
n

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
- Previous experience in construction, trades assisting, carpentry or building maintenance
n
- Strong experience using hand and power tools
n
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
n
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
- Strong work ethic and reliability
n
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
n
- Contactable work references
n
- Must be living locally in Mackay
n
