JDK Geotech is actively seeking two additional team members to form part of an established Rock Mechanics Team in Sydney to help deliver upcoming project scope.

n

JDK Geotech (JDK) is an established engineering consultancy specialising in technical services delivery and project management advice for large-scale infrastructure, transportationand mining projects across Australia.

The team of consultants arecomprisedof a range of professionals with various technical backgrou nds. Operatingwith industry experts on major (> $2 Billion) Projects, JDK is drawn to working alongside creative and driven professionals that stay ahead of the game in the work they do.

The candidates will form part of JDK's established technical team to help deliver technical services to various infrastructure,tunnellingand mining projects in Sydney and NSW from our Pyrmont Office.

Key Responsibilities

n





Provide daily geological and engineering advice on rock mass classificationin accordance withPells (1998).

n

Issue site mapping documentation & issue recommendationsin accordance withproject

n

Partake in the Permit to Excavate/Tunnel and trenching process

n

Coordinate with Engineers and Supervisors on design drawings, temporary works,schedulingand status of the project

n

Forecast geological & engineering conditionsin accordance withproof mapping

n

Undertake rock stability analysis of rock cuts,slopesand underground excavations

n

Facilitate internal and external engineers by developing and improving internal auditing systems & processes

n

Slope stability assessments, underground mapping, underground design review

n

Compile monthly reporting of geological mapping of excavation of tunnels,shaftsand caverns

n

About You

n

White Card

n

Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Geology, Geoscience, Mining, or related field

n

Minimum 8 months on-site experience in any construction field

n

Present with an open personality, desire to be part of a team & challenge themselves

n
