We’ve partnered with one of Australia’s leading fashion and lifestyle retailers on an exciting Buyer opportunity.

This is a fantastic role for a commercially minded Buyer who loves product, understands the customer, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll have genuine ownership across your category, from range development and sourcing through to trading, sell-through and profitability.

The Role

As a Buyer, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering an exciting, commercially successful product range that reflects the customer, current trends and the wider market.

You’ll own your category from product selection and supplier negotiations through to trading and sell-through, using data and customer insight to make confident commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities





- Develop and source commercially solid ranges across your category
- Identify trends, customer insights and market opportunities to shape the range
- Manage the product lifecycle from selection through to sell-through
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve strong commercial terms
- Analyse sales, margin, stock and product performance to maximise results
- Manage budgets and drive sales and margin targets
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to keep the range relevant
- Support and develop Junior Buyers, Assistant Buyers and wider team members

What We’re Looking For

- 3+ years’ experience in fashion buying within a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong understanding of fashion, lifestyle and youth trends
- Commercially driven with strong numerical and analytical capability
- Confident using Excel and data to drive buying decisions
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Customer-focused with a genuine passion for product and retail
- Relevant Buying, Fashion or Business qualifications advantageous
