This global mining company is currently seeking a highly motivated team member to join their Procurement team to look after a portfolio of mining categories.
You will report to the Group Procurement Manager and will be responsible for managing HME and Labour Hire categories.
As the Senior Category Specialist your duties will include:
- Supporting the successful development, implementation, execution, and compliance to assigned high impact/critical and high value contracts.
- Development and implementation of category strategies, contracts, performance metrics, processes, and policies.
Your ability to develop and maintain solid influential relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally is critical to this role, along with well-developed negotiating, analytical, verbal, and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
To be successful in this role,
you will be an experienced procurement professional with substantive skills and expertise in a similar role. You will be able to identify and drive business opportunities and process improvements to deliver business goals.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in delivering global/regional category strategies in the Mining and Resources industry or similar.
- Experience in a Senior Category Management or Specialist role e.g., Category/Contract Specialist, Procurement Specialist (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated leadership, and ability to communicate and influence key stakeholders.
Based in Perth CBD you will also have the opportunity to work from home 2 or 3 days a week. The hourly rate is around $85 + super.
