Join our Development Assessment and Certification Department and play a key role in supporting the delivery of services that help shape Lake Macquarie's future. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused administration professional to work with a collaborative team while contributing to exceptional service delivery and continuous improvement.
Working alongside Planners, Building Surveyors and Engineers, you'll provide high-quality administrative support, help streamline processes and create positive experiences for our customers and stakeholders
Your key focus areas are;
- Deliver exceptional customer service and respond to enquiries from the community, elected representatives and employees in a timely and professional manner
- Provide high-quality administrative support including correspondence, reports, records management and document preparation
- Process and review applications and certificates through electronic lodgement systems with a high degree of accuracy
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and produce accurate minutes and action records
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance service delivery and the customer experience
- Maintain confidential information and records in accordance with Council policies and procedures

You thrive in a collaborative environment,
demonstrate initiative and are committed to providing outstanding support to both customers and colleagues To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Certificate IV or above in Business Administration and/or equivalent demonstrated administration experience
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Experience facilitating meetings and preparing high-quality and accurate minutes
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and respond sensitively and professionally to complex customer matters
