About the role
Bunge is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Container Operations Officer to join our Trade Logistics team based in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Manager Logistics Queensland Victoria & NSW, you will be responsible for coordinating container export shipments and ensuring contractual obligations are executed efficiently and cost-effectively. Working closely with Container Sales & Marketing, Packing Sites, Logistics teams, Shipping Lines and international stakeholders, you will play a critical role in keeping export programs running smoothly and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with container export or logistics experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong stakeholder relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate container export shipments to ensure customer contracts are executed safely, efficiently and on time
- Book shipping space and manage container allocations to meet export program requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, packing facilities and logistics providers
- Liaise daily with packing sites and logistics teams to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth execution of export programs
- Manage container-related issues including damaged, delayed or rejected containers and arrange appropriate solutions
- Maintain accurate shipping, contract and packing information within business systems including AgTech and ProDoc
- Manage invoice queries, shipping line charges and accruals to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Support the Trade and Logistics teams through reporting,
export administration and continuous process improvement activities
About you
- Experience within container exports, international logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain operations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Sound computer skills and confidence working across multiple systems and platforms
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and operational outcomes
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
