About the Role

n

This is a part-time position (minimum 20 hours per week) offered as a 12-month fixed-term maternity leave contract.

n

The role combines both veterinary nursing and reception responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of patient and client care.

n

Veterinary Nursing Duties

n

n
- Assisting veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
n
- Preparing patients for surgery and assisting in theatre
n
- Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recovery
n
- Administering medications and treatments
n
- Collecting blood and pathology samples
n
- Providing hospital and inpatient nursing care
n
- Supporting emergency and critical care cases when required
n
- Assisting with dental procedures and patient care
n
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
n

n

Reception & Client Care Duties

n

n
- Greeting clients and patients on arrival
n
- Managing appointments and admissions
n
- Answering phones and responding to client enquiries
n
- Processing payments and client accounts
n
- Supporting client communication and education
n
- Managing emails and administrative tasks
n
- Providing a welcoming and professional client experience
n

About You

n

We're looking for someone who:

n

n
- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
n




- Has a minimum of 2+ years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
n
- Is confident across both medical and surgical nursing
n
- Has strong anaesthetic monitoring skills
n
- Demonstrates excellent animal handling abilities
n
- Enjoys both patient care and client-facing reception duties
n
- Has excellent organisational and time management skills
n
- Communicates confidently and professionally with clients and colleagues
n
- Is calm, friendly, empathetic, and professional
n
- Has experience with RxWorks (desirable but not essential)
n
