About the Role

n

As a Family Response Facilitator, you'll be the first point of support for vulnerable families seeking assistance.

n

You will:

n

n
- Build trusting relationships with families
n
- Undertake risk, safety and needs assessments
n
- Provide information, advice and practical support
n
- Coordinate referrals to appropriate services
n
- Support families using strengths-based and solution-focused approaches
n
- Advocate for positive outcomes for children, young people and families
n
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
n

What You'll Bring

n

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting families and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

n

Essential Skills & Experience

n

n
- Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and communities, or willingness to develop cultural capability
n
- Experience working with families, children or individuals using strengths-based, solution-focused approaches
n
- Experience conducting safety and risk assessments
n
- Knowledge of Queensland Child Protection legislation and practice
n
- Robust communication and relationship-building skills
n




- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
n
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office and client management systems
n

n

Qualifications

n

You will hold qualifications (or equivalent experience) in one or more of the following:

n

- Human Services
n
- Social Work
n
- Psychology
n
- Community Services
n
- Youth Work
n
- Early Childhood
n
- Domestic & Family Violence Practice
n

n

You'll also require:

n

n
- Current Positive Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
n
- Current Driver Licence
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) or ability to obtain
n
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History Check
n
