Remuneration: $102,936 – $113,579 (Clerk Grade 5/6)
Ahead of the opening of Powerhouse Parramatta, we have three short-term contracts up to six months to support the establishment and delivery of the Lang Walker Academy and Learning Programs.
The role's primary purpose is to deliver learning programs, ensuring learners’ and Powerhouse objectives are delivered to high-quality standards with exceptional customer service. This includes various programs such as workshops, tours, events, talks, master classes, hands-on-making, and digital programs in the Lang Walker Family Academy and museum.
Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with Learning Producers to deliver creative Learning programs that address diverse audiences' needs.
- Coordinate planning processes for program delivery, including iterating on program design to reflect evaluation.
Daytime Program Delivery (2 Full-time positions for up to six months)
- Assist with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of Powerhouse Academy learning experiences, including learning studio module delivery, workshops, tours, talks, masterclasses, school holiday programs, hands-on making activities and digital learning experiences.
- Assist educators from visiting schools and support visiting students during their stay at the museum.
- Assist with program logistics, including supervision, administration and program documentation to support successful delivery of Powerhouse Academy programs.
- Ensure Academy programs are delivered in compliance with organisational policies, including child safety, risk management, Work Health and Safety (WHS), accessibility and inclusion requirements.
- Ensure appropriate linkages across programs and integration across the museum's strategic goals.
- Collect, collate, interpret, and report on programs, services, and income-generating activities.
- Contribute to preparing and reviewing grant and funding submissions to support program delivery and development, ensuring compliance with statutory and legislative requirements.
- Develop innovative, industry-leading, and continually evolving Education and Digital Learning programs that meet the changing needs of the Education community.
- Provide timely, high-level advice on designing and delivering products and services for students, teachers, and diverse audiences.
- Prepare rosters, plans, and schedules for programs and activities to ensure the most effective delivery.
Evening Program Delivery (1 x Full-time positions for up to six months)
- Be the key handover point for visiting schools as the program transitions from daytime programs to evening activities.
- Coordinate the evening Powerhouse Academy activities based around creative participation and recreation.
- Assist with program logistics, including supervision, administration and program documentation to support successful delivery of Academy programs with visiting schools.
- Ensure Academy programs are delivered in compliance with organisational policies, including child safety, risk management, Work Health and Safety (WHS), accessibility and inclusion requirements.
- Be the key handover point to Powerhouse Concierge from 9.00 pm.
- Periodically assess learning courses, events, and content, highlight gaps, and recommend corrective actions to senior officers and stakeholders.
