About the Role
This temporary role will support the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, ensuring accurate testing and reliable performance of analytical equipment. A key focus will be operating and troubleshooting the XRF instrument, maintaining calibration schedules and supporting quality control across the production workplace.
Radiation safety training will be provided if required, ensuring you are fully equipped to operate the XRF.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations
- Perform routine sample preparation and quality testing
- Conduct XRF calibrations, checks, and troubleshooting
- Maintain equipment accuracy and report any anomalies
- Document test results and support production quality requirements
- Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding test outcomes
- Participate in radiation safety training (if not already certified)
Skills and Experience
- Experience in a laboratory, QC, or process testing environment
- Exposure to XRF instrumentation preferred but not essential
- Understanding of sample preparation, calibrations, and routine checks
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Willingness to undertake radiation safety training if required
