About the Role
As our Supervisor Urban Maintenance, you'll lead a dedicated team responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and public spaces that communities rely on every day. From public amenities,
drainage and signage to street sweeping and township presentation, you'll oversee the delivery of essential maintenance services that help keep Baw Baw Shire clean, safe and well maintained.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coordinate staff and contractors, plan and monitor maintenance programs, champion safe work practices, and ensure services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. You'll also build solid relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and the community while driving continuous improvement across operations.
About the Successful Candidate
You are an experienced and proactive leader with a strong background in urban maintenance, civil works, infrastructure maintenance, or a related field. You thrive in a fast-paced operational environment, can effectively balance competing priorities, and are passionate about delivering high-quality services that benefit the community.
With proven experience leading teams and contractors, you know how to motivate others, foster a positive safety culture, and achieve service delivery outcomes. You're an effective communicator who can build strong relationships with colleagues, contractors, stakeholders and community members alike.
You bring strong planning, problem-solving and organisational skills, along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational challenges. Most importantly, you're committed to safe work practices, continuous improvement, and leading by example to achieve the best outcomes for both your team and the community.
