About Aspen

Aspen Group is a successful and growing ASX-listed property group. We own, operate and develop quality accommodation across Australia, helping address the country’s housing shortfall through value-for-money housing and community living.

Our WA portfolio includes lifestyle communities and rental properties located across metro and regional WA.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and capable person to join our WA team as Assistant Operations Manager.

This is an early-career opportunity offering broad exposure to property operations, financial performance, people leadership, and capital projects.

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations – WA, you will initially work across the portfolio to understand the operations and support our site teams. As your experience grows, you will take on responsibility for the performance and continued improvement of your own assets.

This is a hands-on role combining regular site involvement, stakeholder management and practical problem-solving. You will be equally comfortable working through a spreadsheet, supporting property teams and taking ownership of complex operational issues through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Support the operational and financial performance of Aspen’s WA properties

Work with Property Managers and site teams to manager and operate well-run communities

Analyse performance and help develop budgets, business plans and improvement initiatives

Attend properties regularly to understand priorities, support staff and ensure agreed actions are delivered

Liaise with development teams, consultants and contractors on capital projects

Improve systems, processes and reporting to support the continued growth of the business

Who We’re Looking For

This role suits a recent property, commerce or related graduate seeking practical experience and early responsibility or someone who has progressed through hard work and initiative and is now ready for a larger chance.

A degree is beneficial but not essential. We are more interested in your potential, judgement and approach to work.

You will:

Take ownership and reliably follow things through

Show initiative rather than waiting to be directed

Be commercially curious and comfortable working with numbers

Communicate well and build constructive relationships

Bring structure to unfamiliar or complex problems

Be organised, adaptable and willing to learn

Be prepared to roll up your sleeves when the situation requires it

You do not need to arrive with extensive property experience. You do need to be keen, capable and willing to put in the work required to develop.

Clear written and verbal communication

Strong organisation and time management

Valid driver’s licence

Willingness to travel to Aspen properties across WA each week

Why Join Aspen?

Gain experience across operations, finance, leadership, development and capital projects

Take on genuine responsibility as your capability grows

Join a small, supportive team doing ambitious work within a growing national business
