What you will do:

- Undertake comprehensive safeguarding and welfare assessments for children involved in private and public law family proceedings.
n
- Complete direct work with children to understand and accurately represent their wishes, feelings, and lived experiences.
n
- Analyse complex family circumstances, risk factors,
and child protection concerns, producing high-quality reports and recommendations for the Family Court.
n
- Conduct safeguarding enquiries with local authorities, police, health services, and other relevant agencies.
n
- Advise judges and magistrates on matters affecting children's welfare, safety, and long-term outcomes.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:
n
n
- Degree in Social Work, BA (Hons) Social Work, DipSW or equivalent recognised social work qualification.
n
- Current registration with Social Work England.
n
- Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to safeguarding and family justice practice.
n
n
Registration and Compliance:
n
n
- Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
n
n
Experience:
n
n
- Minimum three years' post-qualifying experience working with children and families.
n
- Experience undertaking statutory assessments within children's social care or related safeguarding services.
n
