Job Description

We are looking for an HR or MR truck driver to join our delivery team based at Eagle Farm.

The role involves delivering building products to customers across the region, unloading products using a truck mounted crane and ensuring all loads are safely secured and delivered.

n

Applicants with an MR licence who do not have previous crane experience are encouraged to apply.

n

For the right applicant, we will be happy to fund the license upgrade from MR to HR, provide a forklift ticket and provide training in crane operation and safe crane practices.

The role

n

n
- Delivering building products to customer sites across the Sunshine Coast
n
- Loading and unloading building products using a truck mounted crane
n
- Safely securing loads and following load restraint and Chain of Responsibility requirements
n
- Providing a high level of customer service to our customers
n
- Assisting with general yard duties and order preparation when required
n

Essential requirements

- Minimum MR manual synchromesh truck licence
n
- Clean driving history
n
- Good attitude and willingness to learn
n
- Reliable and punctual
n
- Strong focus on safety
n
- Good communication and customer service skills
n

Desirable but not essential

- HR licence
n
- Forklift licence
n
- Truck mounted crane experience
n
- Experience delivering timber, sheeting, or other building products

Training and development

n

For the right applicant, Sunshine Mitre 10 will support further training and development, including:

- MR to HR licence upgrade
n
- Forklift training and licensing
n
- Truck mounted crane training and secure operating practices
n

n

Previous experience is preferred, however applicants without forklift or crane experience are encouraged to apply if they meet the essential requirements and have the right attitude to learn.
