About HR Elements

HR Elements is a Perth-based outsourced HR consultancy, partnering with businesses across Australia to provide expert HR consulting, payroll, compliance, workplace investigations and employee wellbeing support. Some of our clients have no internal HR function at all. Others have a team but need extra capacity and expertise when things get complex. Either way, we work as an extension of their team, supporting them across the full employee lifecycle, from building foundational policies to managing the most complex workplace matters.

About the Role

This is a role that matters, both to us and to the clients who rely on us. Our clients trust HR Elements with some of the most important and sensitive aspects of running their business, and we're looking for an HR Professional who takes that trust seriously. You'll manage a portfolio of client accounts directly, acting as their dedicated HR contact. Understanding their business, their people and their goals, and providing advice that is practical, compliant and commercially sound.

This is a genuinely client-facing role. You'll build long-term relationships, become a trusted advisor, and represent HR Elements' reputation for being knowledgeable, responsive and easy to work with.

Key Responsibilities

Client relationship management

- Act as the primary HR point of contact for an allocated portfolio of clients
- Build strong working relationships and get to know each client's business, culture and priorities
- Attend client meetings (in person or virtual) to provide ongoing HR guidance and strategic input
- Spot opportunities to add value or expand support based on what each client actually needs

HR advisory and operational support

- Provide day-to-day HR advice on matters such as performance management, employee relations, terminations, absence management and workplace conduct

- Draft and review employment contracts, position descriptions and HR correspondence
- Develop and maintain workplace policies and procedures tailored to each client's industry and obligations
- Support recruitment processes where required, including drafting job ads, screening and interviewing

Compliance and risk management

- Ensure client HR practices align with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, relevant Awards and other employment legislation
- Identify compliance risks and proactively advise clients on how to manage them
- Support or lead workplace investigations with discretion and procedural fairness
- Assist clients with psychosocial hazard obligations as needed

Training and capability building

- Design and deliver training for client leadership teams on core people-management skills, such as performance conversations and managing conduct or underperformance
- Deliver organisation-wide training sessions on topics such as workplace compliance, respectful workplace behaviour and employee wellbeing
- Tailor training content to each client's industry, risk profile and maturity level
- Evaluate training effectiveness and refine content based on client feedback and evolving legislation

Projects and continuous improvement

- Deliver HR projects such as HR discovery reviews, handbook development and system implementations, on time and to a high standard
- Contribute to the development of HR Elements' resources, templates and service offerings

- Stay current on employment law changes and share what you learn with clients and the team

About You

Essential

- 5+ years' experience in a generalist HR role, ideally including client-facing or multi-site/multi-business exposure
- A proven track record of building trusted professional relationships and being seen as a genuine HR partner
- Solid working knowledge of Australian employment law, the Fair Work Act and modern Awards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain HR and legal concepts clearly to people who aren't HR specialists
- A consultative, solutions-focused approach and excellent relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities independently
- High attention to detail and sound judgement, particularly in sensitive or high-risk situations

Desirable

- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related field
- Experience conducting workplace investigations
- Experience in an HR consulting, outsourced HR or qualified services environment
- Familiarity with HRIS/HR software platforms, ideally Employment Hero

What We Offer

- The chance to work on diverse and meaningful HR projects across a broad range of industries
- Autonomy to manage your own client portfolio, backed by a genuinely supportive team of HR professionals
- Genuine flexibility, with full time or part-time (minimum 4 days per week) arrangements available
- Ongoing professional development, with the breadth of experience that comes from working across many businesses rather than one
- A collaborative, values-driven team culture

If you're looking for a role where you can be a genuine partner in every element of a client's people and culture, we would love to hear from you.
