Manager Policy and Programs working on strategic projects for ECCS

Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a strategic management role contributing to the Energy Climate Change and Sustainability for NSW

- Internal expression of interest - DCCEEW
- Temporary role to November 2026 - full-time at 35 hours per week
- Located in Parramatta with hybrid working supported
- Salary from $154,231 to $178,369 plus super and leave loading

About the role

- Leading role in managing the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of key policies and projects within NSW business, government and household sectors.
- Pivotal to ensuring the design and delivery of our policies and projects are effective, innovative and meet priority objectives to achieve critical state outcomes.
- Lead and develop high-performance teams enabling them to design and deliver policies/ projects aligned to program needs
- Terrific prospect to shape real change in transforming NSW to a more sustainable future.

About you

- Ability to positively lead a multi-disciplinary team through a range of complex initiatives to achieve program deliverables.
- Capable of designing and delivering complex programs relating to policy or project-based outcomes.
- Ability to provide expert advice and information to your team, Executive and stakeholders on emerging policy/project issues and present recommendations.




- Experienced in engaging in complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive positive collaboration and partnerships in a transparent and equitable way.
- Track record of managing risks, reporting, budgets and leading continuous improvement activities ensuring the required outcomes are achieved on time/budget and supporting an engaging organisational culture.

Key experience

- Experience in designing and delivering on policy or project targets ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Positively leading a team of policy or project professionals to meet significant program outcomes.
- Proven experience in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to enable required actions on complex policy/project outcomes.
