Based in Bendigo, this opportunity supports the delivery of AFS’s marketing, brand and engagement activities, helping bring the firm’s broader strategic direction to life through practical, well-coordinated marketing support.
We recognise that flexibility looks different for everyone. This role can be offered between 0.8 FTE and full-time, with days and hours negotiated with the successful candidate. Whether you prefer four full days, five shorter days, or another arrangement, we’re happy to explore a schedule that supports both you and the team.

The role In this role, you’ll work closely with the Operations Team and key stakeholders across AFS to help deliver practical, polished and consistent marketing activity that strengthens our brand.
You’ll be responsible for executing our marketing strategy and performing day-to-day marketing tasks, maintaining digital channels and delivering campaigns, events, sponsorships and projects across the firm, responsibilities include:
- Support and deliver the marketing strategy and communications activities in collaboration with the wider team.
- Create, edit and coordinate content for social media, website updates, email campaigns and client communications.
- Maintain brand consistency across marketing and communication materials, including tone, visual identity and style requirements.
- Coordinate events, sponsorships, community engagement activities, campaigns and strategic alignment execution.
- Support projects and strategic priorities by coordinating marketing activities, preparing resources and supporting follow-up actions.
- Monitor and report on marketing activity, including social media, website, email campaigns, event and engagement performance, using insights to support improvements.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to coordinate marketing activity, prepare resources and deliver content, campaigns, events and projects on time and to standard.
- Use Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams, to create, manage and improve marketing resources, documents and activity trackers.
About you
- 2+ years’ experience in a marketing, communications, content coordination or related role.
- You have strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
- You have strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency across communications and marketing materials.
- You are comfortable working with technology and enjoy learning new systems, finding practical ways to make tasks, content and processes more efficient.
- You are organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders.
- You communicate professionally and confidently with team members, suppliers, clients and community partners.
- You have a sound understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, website content and campaign coordination.
- You may have experience with Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress or similar marketing and content creation platforms.
