Movement Matters Therapy is growing, and we are looking for two experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team in Alice Springs / Mparntwe.

We have one Paediatric OT and one Adult OT position available. These are exciting opportunities to help shape and grow Occupational Therapy services across Central Australia within an established and supportive practice.

About Movement Matters Therapy:

Based on Arrernte Country, Movement Matters Therapy provides Exercise Physiology, Paediatric Physiotherapy, Allied Health Assistance and Hydrotherapy services.

We support NDIS, My Aged Care, Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and Private Health clients. Our approach is trauma-informed, culturally aware and person-centred, taking therapy beyond the clinic and into the places people live, work and participate.

Paediatric Occupational Therapist:

Work with babies, children, teenagers and young adults experiencing disability, developmental delay, neurodivergence and complex needs, including ASD, ADHD and FASD.

Your work may include assessments, sensory and motor interventions, assistive technology,



NDIS support and report writing.

Adult Occupational Therapist:

Work with adults experiencing disability, acquired injury, age-related conditions, psychosocial disability and complex needs across NDIS, My Aged Care, WorkCover and other funded programs.

Your work may include functional capacity assessments, capacity building, assistive technology, home modifications and report writing.

Both roles involve collaboration with families, support coordinators and healthcare providers, with occasional remote community outreach.

You won't be professionally isolated:

You'll work alongside Paediatric Physiotherapists, Senior Exercise Physiologists and Allied Health Assistants, with genuine leadership and clinical support.

As one of the first Occupational Therapists in the practice, you'll have the opportunity to shape your caseload, develop specialist interests and help grow OT services across Central Australia.

About you:

We're looking for a registered Occupational Therapist with solid experience in your area of specialty and the confidence to work autonomously.

Essential:

- AHPRA registration
First Aid and CPR
Ochre Card and National Police Check
Open driver's licence
Strong communication and documentation skills
Commitment to culturally safe, person-centred practice
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, or a genuine commitment to developing this

- Experience across both paediatric and adult practice is also welcomed.
