Curis Recruitment is seeking an experienced Remote Area Nurse for a permanent position within the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

What's on offer:

- Base salary: $129,898 per annum + super
- 25% on-call loading – approximately $32,475 per annum
- Total salary approximately $162,373 per annum + super
- 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off roster
- Accommodation provided while in community
- $2,000 isolation airfare allowance
- $10,000 retention bonus after 2 years of continuous service, then every 12 months thereafter
- Permanent full-time position

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced RANs looking for a permanent remote role offering a fantastic roster, strong remuneration and the opportunity to provide genuinely meaningful healthcare within an Aboriginal community.

The Role
Reporting to the Health Centre Manager, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive Primary Health Care and emergency services to individuals, families and the wider community.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing professional, evidence-based primary healthcare
- Assessing and managing a broad range of acute and chronic presentations
- Delivering health promotion and education programs
- Coordinating assigned health programs, which may include Chronic Conditions or Maternal & Child Health
- Taking a holistic approach to assessment, treatment and preventative healthcare
- Supporting clients to better understand and manage their health conditions




- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated patient care
- Developing strong relationships with clients, families and community members
- Participating in the on-call roster providing 24/7 emergency care
- Responding to emergency presentations and coordinating escalation or retrieval where required
- Travelling by 4WD or light aircraft when required

To be successful, you will have:

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated post-graduate nursing experience
- Strong experience delivering comprehensive Primary Health Care
- Emergency nursing experience and confidence managing acute presentations
- A sound understanding of rural and remote healthcare
- Strong practical clinical nursing skills
- An understanding of culturally safe healthcare
- A commitment to the principles of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health
- Current Manual Driver's Licence
