Gorilla Jobs is seeking GP VMO ED doctors and Senior ED Doctors for high-paying FIFO locum work across rural and remote Western NSW.

Clinical Workplace

You will work across rural and remote Emergency Department settings in Western NSW, supporting communities that rely on confident senior doctors.

- Senior ED responsibility – work as the senior doctor on shift in rural and remote settings
- Broad acute exposure – manage hands-on emergency care that keeps your skills sharp
- Rural autonomy – step away from metro pressure and practise meaningful regional medicine
- Repeat placements – return to sites you enjoy and build familiarity with local teams
- Flexible block work – create locum patterns around your availability, travel and time off

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad rural and remote patient mix, including adults, older patients, families, acute presentations, trauma, minor injuries, chronic disease complications and patients requiring assessment, stabilisation, escalation or transfer.

Key Duties

- Provide senior ED cover within scope
- Assess and manage acute and emergency presentations
- Support trauma, resus and procedural care where required
- Work with local nursing teams and defined escalation pathways
- Coordinate retrieval,



transfer or admission when needed
- Complete clinical documentation and handover

Requirements

- GP VMO ED or Senior ED doctor experience
- Recent acute care or Emergency Medicine experience
- Current ALS
- Current General or Specialist AHPRA Registration
- Australian working rights
- Comfortable being the senior doctor on shift in a rural or remote setting
- Able to work with local nursing teams and defined escalation pathways
