About the role

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Patient Services Attendant to join our Perioperative team on a casual basis. Monday to Friday flexible roster, with occasional weekend shifts available.

About Sundew Day

Surgery

Sundew Day Surgery located in Joondalup, is a modern purpose-built 23-hour short stay hospital with three operating theatres. Our specialties Include Minor Orthopaedics, General, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Dental, Dermatology/Mohs and Endoscopy.

Duties and responsibilities

This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes. Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus

Provide safe transfer, handling and positioning of patients to and from the operating theatre

Assist patients with general requests, mobility and post-op refreshments

Ensure beds are correct and made according to the session allocations

Assist with admissions and discharges

Ensure adequate stock control levels are maintained

Assist the team in cleaning the Perioperative environment including linen and waste removal About You:

You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare.

You will have: Experience in a similar role within a hospital setting

Excellent customer service skills

Knowledge of patient safety and infection control principles

Ability to prioritise and coordinate work to meet patient and customer needs
