Tradewind Australia is inviting Expressions of Interest from outstanding teachers and education leaders for 2027 opportunities across Independent Schools in Melbourne (and surrounds). Whether you're an experienced classroom teacher, a specialist subject teacher, or looking to step into a leadership role, we'd love to hear from you as schools begin early conversations and workforce planning for 2027.

Independent Schools offer diverse communities, strong teaching and learning cultures, and a wide range of co-curricular and skilled growth opportunities.

About the opportunities

We are anticipating a range of 2027 permanent and fixed-term roles, including (but not limited to):

- Primary (Prep-Year 6) Classroom Teachers
- Secondary Teachers across a variety of learning areas
- Specialist Teachers (e.g., Languages, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Humanities, PE, STEM)
- Learning Support / Inclusive Education / Individual Needs
- Middle Leadership and Senior Leadership (subject coordinators, learning area leaders, wellbeing/pastoral roles, etc.)

Roles may become available across inner, north, west, east and south-east Melbourne as well as some regional options depending on school needs.

What we're looking for

To be considered, you will ideally have:

- VIT registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Relevant teaching qualification(s) (Australian or recognised international equivalent)




- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues and families
- A commitment to high-quality teaching practice, student wellbeing and continuous improvement
- Experience (or interest) in working within an Independent School environment (highly regarded)
