Role Opportunity
Structural Integrity Engineer required for a 6 month initial contract on a 4 days on, 3 days off FIFO roster. Provide structural engineering support to Maintenance, Operations, and Projects at the site, assisting site Structural Engineers to ensure the structural integrity and quality of engineering for site structures.

Qualifications & Skills

- Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5 - 10 + years' experience in civil/structural engineering, ideally within brownfield mining project environments
- Background in mining or mineral processing operations, solid client side and consultant experience
- Strong structural integrity engineering experience within mining plant structures
- Experience with design reviews and providing technical assistance to various project stakeholders
- Able to liaise closely with internal and external teams and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Sound understanding of mine safety legislation and HSE management systems

Duties & Responsibilities

- Ensure that all structural engineering, design, installation and maintenance meet or exceed specified engineering standards and statutory requirements. This includes (but is not limited to);

- Procurement and review of external and internal structural engineering,
- Conduct and review structural engineering calculations where required,
- Review any Project's deliverables.





- Provide assistance to Risk Owners to ensure that risks relating to structural engineering are appropriately controlled. This includes (but is not limited to) Critical Control Management.
- Assist in the management of structural integrity across process plant infrastructure and non-process plant infrastructure through audits and inspections of structural defects, applying engineering principals toward risk ranking of defects, reviewing existing interim safeguards of defects and implementing new interim safeguards.
- Ensure site systems and procedures relating to structural engineering meet or exceed the specified engineering standards, regulatory standards and company standards / procedures (as required).
- Assist in the coordination of key site based structural engineering and maintenance activities.
- Review and contribute to structural design, structural procurement and structural maintenance philosophy.
- Develop and review Engineering Work Packs for maintenance work to be carried out.
- Monitor key activities relating to structural engineering (as required).
