We are seeking a reliable and motivated Grounds Person / Handyman to join our team at a well-established holiday resort.

This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining the presentation, cleanliness and functionality of the resort's apartments, facilities and common areas. The position offers a variety of work including general maintenance, groundskeeping, cleaning, and preventative maintenance activities.

The successful applicant will take pride in their work, be highly organised and capable of working independently while maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and owners.

Key Responsibilities
Grounds & Property Presentation

- Gardening and landscaping duties

- Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of resort grounds and facilities

- Pressure cleaning pathways, outdoor areas and common property

- Rubbish removal and bin management

- BBQ cleaning and maintenance

- Daily cleaning of common areas and guest facilities

Resort Facilities

- Pool and spa testing, minor maintenance, and cleaning

- Assisting with the upkeep of recreational facilities and shared amenities

- Completing scheduled daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance tasks

Maintenance & Handyman Duties

- Minor repairs and maintenance within apartments and common areas

- Furniture assembly, installation and repairs





- Identifying maintenance issues and coordinating repairs where required

- Assisting with preventative maintenance programs

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Previous experience in a grounds, maintenance, handyman, building, school, resort or facilities maintenance role

- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

- A friendly and professional manner when interacting with guests, owners and contractors

- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to maintenance tasks

- High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a well-presented property

- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic

- Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual work

- Experience using hand and power tools safely

- A current driver's licence

Desirable

- Experience working in a resort, hotel, school, retirement village or residential complex

- Pool and spa maintenance experience

- Gardening and landscaping experience

- Trade qualifications or a trade background
