Animal Assistant - Farmhand position:

The ideal candidate sould have some general farming and livestock knowledge, but more importantly have a love for animals and experience in caring for them.

As they are entirely pets and not farmed for meat or sale, you will need to be someone who enjoys creating solid bonds with animals – being up close and personal with them is a must! They are extremely affectionate and friendly – and very naughty too!

Duties and responsibilities would include:

Feeding out grain and cleaning grain troughs.

Daily check of herd health and condition.

Caring for any sick goats and administering medications – if needed.

Keeping record of any treatments or medications given.

Help with hoof trimming and other treatments.

Water runs and cleaning water troughs.





Other general farm duties.

Running errands ie. trips into town.

The position is full time, paid at casual rates. Happy to negotiate hours for the right person.

A three bedroom home will be provided for sole use.

Farming - water maintenance, fencing, plant operation and maintenance, tree trimming...
