About the role

Bellarine Flooring is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join our team in Ocean Grove, Victoria. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to provide bookkeeping support to our growing flooring business. As Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting functions. This part time position offers flexibility whilst contributing meaningfully to the financial health of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

- Recording and reconciling daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts and payments

- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing and follow-up

- Reconciling bank statements on a regular basis

- Processing payroll information and preparing payroll documentation for staff

- Maintaining accurate and organised financial records and documentation

- Processing customer invoices and tracking outstanding payments

- Supporting the preparation of financial information for tax purposes and audits

- Performing general administrative tasks to support the accounting function

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting support role within a small to medium business environment

- Proficiency with accounting software, particularly Quickbooks/Reckon

- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct discrepancies

- Knowledge of Australian taxation and superannuation requirements





- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

- Competency in Microsoft Excel and other office-based software

- Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members

- Reliability and integrity in handling confidential financial information

- A current understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices

- Ideally, relevant qualifications such as a Certificate in Bookkeeping or Accounting would be advantageous
