EXPLOSIVES DELIVERY TRUCK DRIVER

Nitro Sibir Australia Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced and exceptional Truck Driver – PX Driver (HE/IE Explosives) on a permanent full-time basis to join our team, working an 8 & 6 roster across Kalgoorlie-based and FIFO operations, reporting to Mark Cooper.

Start Date: ASAP

Role and Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle combinations to sites across WA & Interstate in accordance with regulations and company procedures.

• Hook and unhook trailers including B-Double combinations and safely manoeuvre equipment into position

• Load and unload trailers either individually or with assistance, with or without mechanical freight-handling equipment.

• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight.

• Inspect trucks for defects and protected operating condition before, during and after trips.

• Submit pre-trip inspections and, if required, Vehicle Defect Reports on trucks and trailing equipment prior to commencing shift.

• Ensure all load documentation required to move with freight is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies freight when delivered.

• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.





Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Unrestricted MC manual driver's licence.

• Minimum 2 years' heavy-vehicle driving experience.

• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC).

• Exceptional communication, customer service skills and a can-do attitude.

• Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence

Desirable

• Experience in surface and underground explosives deliveries preferred.

• Forklift licence.

• National Police Clearance.

• Flexible availability.

• A positive level of physical fitness and strength.
