Working Supervisor – Commercial Cleaning

Cairns | Full Time, 38 Hours

Step into a leadership role with a growing and qualified commercial cleaning company operating across Cairns and surrounding areas.

We are seeking an experienced Working Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards across multiple locations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys leading from the front, supporting cleaning teams and completing specialist cleaning work when required.

You will oversee a portfolio of commercial sites across Cairns and surrounds, ensuring operational excellence, strong client relationships and consistent service delivery.

What You Will Be Doing

- Overseeing daily cleaning operations across your allocated portfolio

- Working across multiple locations throughout Cairns and surrounding areas

- Conducting monthly site inspections and quality audits

- Supporting cleaning teams and stepping in during staffing gaps

- Training, mentoring and performance managing cleaning staff

- Responding promptly to client enquiries and resolving issues professionally

- Managing stock levels and maintaining cleaner rooms to company standards

- Ensuring compliance, reporting and operational updates are completed fortnightly





- Maintaining contract KPIs and driving continuous improvement

- Completing and assisting with periodic and specialist cleaning services, including:

- Carpet steam cleaning

- Floor polishing

- Pressure washing

- Floor stripping and sealing

- Working closely with Area Managers and the Operations team

What We Are Looking For

- Proven experience in commercial cleaning supervision

- Practical experience in carpet steam cleaning, floor polishing, pressure washing, and stripping and sealing floors

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple sites, competing priorities and changing operational requirements

- Willingness to work hands-on and travel between different locations

- High attention to detail and strong quality-control capabilities

- A proactive and solutions-focused approach

- Current driver’s licence
