The Prospect

Join a global engineering company specialising in mechanical seals, dry gas seals, expansion joints and associated supply systems.

This role combines end-to-end project management with early-stage customer engagement. You will manage greenfield and brownfield projects while working with EPCs, OEMs and end users to identify opportunities and have the company’s solutions considered during project specification.

It will suit a commercially aware Project Manager or senior Project Engineer who enjoys customer interaction and wants broader involvement than project delivery alone.

The Role

Reporting to the Australasian Sales Manager, you will manage multiple projects from tendering and specification through to execution and delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing national and international projects from initial opportunity through to delivery
- Engaging with EPCs, OEMs and end-user project teams
- Supporting product specification and approved-vendor-list inclusion
- Preparing and reviewing tenders and technical submissions
- Managing contracts, specifications and project documentation
- Coordinating local and international project resources
- Developing budgets, forecasts and delivery schedules
- Monitoring costs, variations, risks and project timelines
- Ensuring commercial, quality and HSE requirements are met
- Providing project forecasts, analysis and status reports

When project demands are lower,



you will dedicate time to developing strategic customer relationships and uncovering future opportunities that support business growth. This is a commercially focused role with a business development emphasis, without ownership of an individual sales budget.

About You

You will ideally bring:

- Five or more years’ project engineering or management experience
- Experience across mining, power or heavy industrial projects
- Exposure to EPCs, OEMs, contractors and end users
- Strong project planning, budgeting and reporting capabilities
- Commercial experience covering contracts, costs and risk
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence discussing technical solutions
- Strong customer engagement and communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

A technical qualification would be highly regarded but is not essential. Experience with mechanical seals, rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, valves, piping packages or related engineered products would be beneficial.

You will be self-motivated, accountable and resilient, with the attention to detail required to manage long and complex project cycles.
