We are looking for a reliable and experienced chef/cook to join our existing team at Heartbreak Hotel NT. We are open to applicants who are wanting to complete their 88 days and then continue exploring this beautiful country.
Heartbreak Hotel is very remote however the local area offers a unique landscape to explore and plenty of fishing spots. If you love the lifestyle the outback offers, this position is perfect for you!
As chef you would have creative freedom in the kitchen to explore and create new menus items.
Your Responsibilities would be to provide quality classic meals for incoming customers and travellers:
- Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
- Overseeing all kitchen operations.
- Training staff to prepare and cook menu items.
- Taking inventory/stock of ingredients and equipment.
- Leading a high level of safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.
You must have:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications/ Work Experience:
- Formal hospitality qualification
- Minimum 3 years work experience
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team environment with a positive attitude.
