The Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and passionate Event Sales & Planner to join the Trippas White Group Sydney team at the National Gallery Australia. This is a client-facing, commercially focused role combining event sales and end-to-end event planning. You will manage a diverse portfolio of corporate, social and wedding events, taking clients from initial enquiry and site inspection through proposal, contracting, planning, event delivery and post-event follow-up.

The role is responsible for maximising revenue and conversion opportunities while ensuring every event is delivered professionally, seamlessly and to an exceptional standard. You will build strong client relationships, proactively identify upselling and value-added opportunities, coordinate suppliers and internal teams, and maintain clear communication throughout the event lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the full event journey from enquiry through to event completion and post-event administration.
- Respond to and qualify corporate, wedding and social event enquiries, with a strong focus on converting leads to confirmed business.
- Conduct site inspections and client meetings.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, contracts and event documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, delivering a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales and planning process.
- Proactively maximise revenue
- Manage event planning details and work closely with clients to bring together the finer details of their event.
- Coordinate suppliers,



internal operational teams and event requirements, including bump-in, event delivery, bump-out and post-event follow-up.
- Ensure a seamless handover and/or ongoing communication with Venue Managers and Operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information across event management and CRM systems.
- Monitor sales reporting, budgets, forecasting and pipeline activity to achieve individual and venue revenue targets.
- Develop and execute business development activity to generate new business, repeat clients and revenue.
- Maximise existing accounts and enquiries while actively sourcing new business across relevant market segments.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, client familiarisations, wedding showcases and other business development opportunities as required.
- Review client feedback and use insights to build future pipeline, repeat events and improved client experiences.
- Participate actively in sales and team meetings, contributing to actions and plans that achieve budget.
- Maintain robust knowledge of market trends, competitors, venue offerings, food, beverage and service.
- Support a positive, high-performing team culture and enhance the reputation of Trippas White Group at all times.
- Complete required training and administrative tasks accurately and within agreed deadlines.

About You

- Minimum 2 years' experience in hospitality, event sales, event management, wedding or a similar events environment.
- Proven experience managing events from enquiry through to completion, ideally across corporate, wedding and social markets.
- Demonstrated success in sales, lead conversion, revenue generation and achieving targets.




- Strong client management, relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
- Confident and professional when conducting site inspections, sales appointments and client meetings.
- Commercially minded, with a strong understanding of sales reporting, budgets and forecasting.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, time management and the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
- Operational mindset with experience in supplier coordination, event planning, bump-in, event delivery, bump-out and post-event administration.
- Passion and strong knowledge of quality food, beverage and service.
- Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
- Ability to listen to clients and inspire them with the possibilities for their event experience.
- Strong understanding of corporate and/or wedding markets, with established industry contacts highly regarded.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management / CRM software.
- Experience with iVvy and Fedelta, or similar systems, highly regarded.
- Flexible to work weekends and outside standard business hours as required by events and site inspections.
- A positive, collaborative and can-do attitude, with a commitment to exceptional client satisfaction and operational excellence.
