Mandatory qualifications/professional registration/other requirements

Essential:

1. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA)



as a Registered Nurse (RN).

2. Blue card holder (or willing to apply)

3. Yellow card holder (or willing to apply)

4. Current CPR Certificate

5. Current First Aid certificate

6. A motor vehicle is required perform the role and as such, you must have your own current ‘C’ class license and a road worthy vehicle with full comprehensive insurance.

7. Previous experience working in community setting is desirable.

8. Previous experience in wound care, catheter care, IDC and SPC insertion, insulin administration, PEG changes and care, Bowel care, Dementia care, Continence assessment, application of compression bandaging is highly desirable.

9. Previous experience working with palliative care patients is desirable.

10. It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases during their employment.
