About the Role

S & D Berg Trading and Sure Seal Sealants are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Internal Sales & Customer Service Lead to join our Hallam team.

This hands-on role combines internal sales, customer account management and customer service coordination. You will manage an allocated portfolio of customers, develop sales opportunities and ensure incoming enquiries are handled professionally and efficiently.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, following opportunities through and taking ownership of results.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and develop an allocated portfolio of customers

- Build strong relationships through regular telephone and email contact

- Identify new sales and cross-selling opportunities

- Handle incoming telephone and email enquiries

- Prepare quotations and complete timely follow-up

- Provide professional product and customer service support

- Coordinate customer requests with sales, accounts and warehouse employees

- Monitor outstanding orders and keep customers informed

- Support accurate order processing and effective fulfilment

- Maintain customer records and sales follow-up activities

- Work towards agreed sales and customer-service targets

- Provide direction and support to customer service team members

About You

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:

- Experience in internal sales, account management or customer service

- A confident and professional telephone manner

- Strong customer relationship and follow-up skills

- A proactive and results-focused approach

- The confidence to make outbound customer calls





- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Strong organisation and attention to detail

- Good computer and order-processing system skills

- The ability to work effectively with sales, warehouse and accounts teams

- A willingness to learn a specialised product range

Experience in wholesale distribution, trade supplies, hardware, building products, fireplaces, coatings, sealants or a related industry would be highly regarded. Product and system training will be provided.
