About the role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior Sommelier to join our Cellar Door Team. You will lead guided sparkling wine tastings and masterclasses for cellar door guests, sharing insights about the site, viticulture practices and winemaking processes. You will drive sales of bottled wine, club memberships, and merchandise to meet daily conversion and sales targets, and support the execution of on and off-site events, including food and wine festivals, trade visits and promotional events.

Key responsibilities

- Lead guided sparkling wine tastings and masterclasses for cellar door guests
- Share insights about the site, viticulture practices and winemaking processes
- Drive sales of bottled wine, club memberships, and merchandise to meet daily conversion and sales targets
- Support the execution of on and off-site events, including food and wine festivals, trade visits and promotional events
- Restock retail areas, merchandise displays and tasting room fridges
- Assist with order fulfillment, including monthly wine club dispatches where required




- Ensure storage areas and tasting spaces remain clean, organised, and compliant with safety guidelines

About you

- 2+ years of experience in a restaurant, retail wine sales, or a winery cellar door setting
- Foundational wine knowledge or willingness to undertake formal qualifications like WSET Level 2 or 3 and engage in internal training sessions
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and occasional event shifts
- Valid driver's licence and access to personal transportation
- Consistently deliver exceptional customer service and act as a brand ambassador
