Qualified Cook – Full Time

Mathoura Bowling Club is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team in a permanent full time position.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual who can work confidently in a busy commercial kitchen and contribute to the consistent preparation and delivery of quality meals.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Preparing, cooking and presenting meals to a consistent standard
Preparing ingredients and undertaking general food preparation
Following recipes, menus and portion requirements
Monitoring food quality and presentation
Maintaining appropriate stock levels and assisting with stock rotation
Ensuring food is stored, prepared and handled safely
Maintaining a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen
Complying with food safety, workplace health and safety and hygiene requirements
Working effectively with other kitchen and venue staff
Assisting with the efficient operation of the kitchen during service
Working a roster that may include evenings, weekends and public holidays





About You

To be considered for this position, applicants should have:
A relevant commercial cookery qualification
Experience working as a cook in a commercial kitchen
Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety
The ability to work efficiently in a busy service workplace
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Valuable organisational and time-management skills
A reliable and qualified approach to work
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends

Position Details

Position: Qualified Cook
Employment: Permanent Full Time
Location: Mathoura, NSW

Remuneration will be based on qualifications and experience and will meet applicable award and legislative requirements.
