We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support mining, construction and infrastructure projects across Tanami, Alice Springs and other Northern Territory locations.

The role will combine site-based engineering support with hybrid working arrangements, providing technical assistance across construction, installation, commissioning, maintenance and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

-Provide mechanical engineering support across mining and construction sites.
Review mechanical drawings, designs, specifications and technical documentation.
Support installation, inspection, testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
Work with pumps, piping, valves, rotating equipment, conveyors and associated mining infrastructure.
Conduct site inspections and resolve construction and technical issues.
Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, vendors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Support shutdowns, maintenance activities and equipment upgrades.
Ensure works comply with project requirements, Australian Standards, safety and quality requirements.




Prepare technical reports, scopes of work and engineering documentation.

About You
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience within mining, construction, resources or heavy industry.
Experience working on active construction or operational sites.
Solid knowledge of mechanical equipment and engineering practices.
Valuable communication and problem-solving skills.
Full driver’s licence.
Willingness to travel to remote Northern Territory sites.

Pay: $130,275.43 – $150,230.00 per year
